Martin Luther King Celebration 2011: Remember, Reflect, Realize
Arkansas State University celebrated Martin Luther King Jr day on January 17, 2011. The school started off it's celebration by bringing together people, churches of the community, organizations, groups, sororities, and fraternities on campus to march. Bringing together all the people of the Jonesboro community to remember Dr. King and honor his memory was a great thing to be apart of. Certain groups on campus that were apart of this event including Student Activities Board and Black Student Association. Community churches such as Fullness of Joy and St. Paul were apart of the celebration. The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha & Zeta Phi Beta sorority volunteered. Also the men of Alpha Phi Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, and Phi Beta Sigma faternity helped march in honor of Martin Luther King's memory.
